What to do? Oh, sweetie! You just enjoy one another's company!

That's what Merrill and I do. There's dinners and dates and plays, traveling together, and just...being with one another!

But I already do enjoy her company, I love being with her. But I loved being with her even before romantic feelings were taken into account. Is it really no different?

It almost sounds too simple to be true, but I know you have no reason to lie to me.

A very close friend of both of ours is in love with Rei. I don't want to give up Rei, but I don't want her to be so upset either. I don't know what to do. [She barely knows how to date, she doesn't know how to handle a love triangle.]

I... well... [She sighs.] I suppose it is far more complicated than that.

How does your girl feel? I mean, how does she feel about the third? And how about you?

I'm afraid I don't know. Rei was the one to inform me that our friend had such feelings, though she didn't say towards who. [But clearly, it was for Rei. It was Rei after all.]

I... well... I'm incredibly fond of her too, I don't know if it's the same way I feel for Rei, but I know that I don't want to see either of them hurt or unhappy.

[Yuuna doesn't know Rei, but as a girl that is in love with a girl and therefore sometimes likes and appreciates girls, she doesn't find it all that farfetch'd to think that this other likes Ami. She's cute, in all the right ways. And she's also hard on herself. So...]

Have you considered that she might be interested in you and not Rei? Or that she might like the pair of you?

Yuuna, I can barely believe that Rei likes me, I'm not sure how I could believe two people like me in such a manner. Of course it's Rei. Rei is incredible, she's smart, she's passionate, she's elegant and intense and beautiful.

If Rei is all those things? Then it's obvious she's attracted to similar women. And it's not all that far fetched for a love triangle to form.

[She'd certainly consider Ami to be a little prudish for such things but...]

[A slow, almost lazy smile spreads across Yuuna's lips. Of course she knew the word. And naturally, it probably hadn't occurred to her friend to think that way. Ami, for all her genius, was still younger and still a little sheltered in terms of life experiences. It was cute.

She lifts a finger, twirling it in a circle, almost like trying to get Ami to follow the logic train.]

It is not entirely...impossible for Rei, Makoto-chan, and I to enter a polyamorous relationship. In truth, it would be the most logical conclusion if, in fact, Makoto-chan cares for the both of us.

However, a polyamorous relationship is not something that I can simply assume the other two want, or something I myself even want. I've never been in a relationship before, never mind one with more than one person. As much as I care for both girls, and I do care for them deeply, I'm not sure how to even go about suggesting such a thing, or how to make all parties feel comfortable on the matter.

But... it is not... it has a good deal of merit, and I certainly... wouldn't mind being with Makoto as well as Rei.

Sounds like, sweetie, you have a lot of thinking to do. And you need to sit down with both of them and discuss this. Maybe after a long day, and always over food. Nothing serious should ever be talked about without food.

.... Yuuna... what if I lose them both? [She never had to deal with losing friends before, mostly because Yuuna had been her only one.]
